How do you keep your computer "clean"?

Postby gridlox on Fri Jan 04, 2008 1:21 am

The McAfee Rebate post got me wondering...

What programs do you use to keep your computer running virus free (hopefully!!)?

I run Window's Defender nightly.
I have it set up to update and scan automatically every night at 3:00AM.

I also manually run Ad-Aware at least once a week.
More if I happen to run across a site that continually sets of my Google Pop-up Blocker.
Nooo... not those kinda sites!! (I know what your thinking!! :P )
Online free game sites usually have a lot.
A lot of times the games run in a pop-up window. Once you let one go from the site it just opens the door until you clear out all your cookies. (Usually dump those about once a week as well  )

I use Lavasoft Ad-Aware and AVG Antivirus. I don't store History and do disk cleanup often. I also have disabled Install On Demand in the Internet Tools menu.
