Yeah, I've read that McAfee has been screwing a LOT of people on their rebates lately. Not very good customer service!! :x :( :x

They either claim they never recieved the forms or that they recieve the wrong type of "proof of purchase"(p-o-p).
In the later, they don't even bother to contact the person sending in the rebate to inform them that the "wrong p-o-p" was submitted until either the rebate period was over or very near to being over, so as the person doesn't have time get the resubmitted rebate sent in in time.
Then they refuse the rebate because the correct type of p-o-p wasn't submitted "during" the active rebate period.
One of the things that I've read somewhere is that they have two different rebate forms.
One says to send in the "original p-o-p" (UPC Code from the box & Actual Sales Reciept). To which, they claim they never recieve.
The other is to send in "photocopies of the p-o-p". These they claim that they needed the original p-o-p to process the rebate. But by the time the person submitting the rebate is contacted to be "informed" that they submitted the "wrong p-o-p" it's too late to get the rebate because the rebate period is over.

I also use AVG and am very pleased with it. :D

It along with Ad-Aware have given me very good protection for years now. :D
