I spoke briefly with Mary Hardin Thorton, director of the the "Keep Rome Floyd Beautiful" comittee today.

She was in the shop ordering some signs to promote an upcoming clean-up event at Brushy Branch.
I had gotten an email from her a few days ago about the signs and thought we might could piggyback a CITO event on their event, but unfortunately it's on a Thursday & Friday.
Anyways, I gave her the highlights of our CITO program and told her we were looking for an area to clean up that wouldn't take a immense amount of manpower since we would "probably" only have 20 or so people to participate.
She told me she would check to see what we might could do and get back with me later.
I had told her that we had at one time considered cleaning up the Old Armuchee Cemetary, but the county came in and took care of it before we could really get things rolling on it. In the process of telling her that I mentioned something about trying to find someone to bring out a dumpster and she said that when we got ready to do the CITO event to contact her before hand and she could get us one easily enough.
Hopefully she will get back with me next week and we can get our first CVC CITO event under our belt.
