Before the GPS there was a game called Letterboxing.
www.letterboxing.org
It's still an active game, but you find the caches/letterboxes with clues provided in the letter/webpage rather than coordinates.
Does anyone do Letterboxing as well?
Since this is a cousin of sorts to our game, maybe we should see if we can contact the letterbox owners of the ones hid on Berry's campus to notify them of the changes that are being implemented.
There are a few letterboxes on the campus that are still active.
Search for them here:
http://www.letterboxing.org/BoxFind.php
To find all the letterboxes on the Berry campus - choose the state of Georgia, & type in "Mount Berry" as the city.
I'd hate to see caching get shut down on the campus when they think we are hiding caches without permission, when letterboxing is what's actually taking place.
It looks as if all the letterboxes on the campus are placed by one person. I'd be glad to contact them to let them know of the rules changes and what we are doing to try and keep our game alive. And invite them to work with us to see if they are interested in meeting with the Berry folks as well.
Any suggestions on what to say without sounding like, "We'll if we gotta follow the rules, you do too"
I've already started one friendship this week sounding like a mules hind-quarters, (Right, Sandy

) I don't want to make it a two-fer.
