Well thanks anyway, but I'm not going to get to see it launch now.

Thanks to Hurricane Ike!!
Mission Control at Johnson Space Center in "Houston" got shut down until this coming Monday. That made the original launch get delayed until the next available launch window. Which will be the Saturday "after" we come back home. To say I'm a bit disappointed is an understatement!!

At least there are 9 more launches left in the Shuttle program (before they go to the next generation of rockets) over the next two years that I can shoot to go back and try again. :?

We are still going to go to Kennedy Space Center. So it won't be a total waste. One cool thing is that the Shuttle Atlantis will be on launch pad A and they are supposed to move Shuttle Endevour onto launch pad B this coming week to begin prepping it for the Nov. launch. Now that will be a cool site to see, two shuttles side by side on the launch pads!! :D I'll be sure to take some cool pics and post them somewhere for everyone to see.
