Hi

Yes, I'm a newbie - I admit it. I only started geocaching this summer but I am having a blast!

I'm looking forward to learning more about it and maybe attending the Eat and Greet on Aug 28 - if nothing comes up and hinders me. Hope to get to meet some of you Coosa Valley folks soon.

I'm having a heck of a time with my geocaching. Went to try to find the Gore Heroes this afternoon, but, had no luck. Maybe it's my GPSr, I'm not sure. I followed the coordinates but, with my RoadMate 1200, I don't think I was at the right place, though the numbers were almost dead on. Maybe I need a handheld? Help! Tired of not finding any darned thing.

This is a new, (less than 1 year old car unit,) so, I can't just give it up, of course, but, I want to be able to find things when I'm not in the car, and the RM just doesn't seem to be able to hack the mission.
Guess I'll have to try to find somebody willing to barter something that I have for what I want. :D
I'm a computer geek, preacher, notary, reading tutor, etc. somebody email me.

A wise experienced geocacher (smiling in acworth) told me when I first started, "Quit... Quit now while you can. It is a disease" :D

For me, it was too late. Shopping trips with the wife and much more enjoyable now that I can geocache around the malls, while she is shopping. :D

Hopefully, we will be having another meet and greet.
