Chat Module??

Postby gridlox on Thu Apr 23, 2009 11:22 pm

The chat module is really cool!
"But" since we rarely have more than 1-2 folks at a time on here, should we keep it? :?:

It's no problem loading now that I have my new system. But before, my net connection wasn't the greatest in the world and I noticed a bit of a lag in the pages loading because it was loading the chat module.

Other than a few folks when it was first loaded using it, I don't think anyone has used it since. (Of course I haven't been around for a little over a month) :(

Thots?

It's one of those things that would be cool if more people used it. Hard to say if it will be used more in the future. :|

Who are you again? Are you a member? :D

Since most of us have jobs and can't chat all day, I would say to nix it. Unless you can move it to it's own page. I don't like having to scroll down every time I go to a page.

Kinda my thoughts. :|

Maybe if I get a few minutes this weekend I'll look into the coding for it and see if it can be relocated. :?: :?:

Couldn't see how to move it so I crushed it. No more chat module!

Was there a way to resize it? :?

Maybe if it wasn't so big. :(
Dunno, maybe if it was only about an inch or so tall it'd be a LOT better and it wouldn't take up the whole screen when the page opened.
The first time I saw it I thought we'd changed over to a chat room.

It was good for calling attention to something important that had been posted. :)

Or, another thought, if it could only be active on the main board index page "only"? :?: :?: :?:

K! Thanks! Sorry for the confusion. :?

I'll give it a look-see on Sunday when I have more time to study it.
I haven't been into the admin section since I edited the theme way back when the forum programming got updated. :(
